DC Announces Surprise Fighting Game, and It's Not Injustice 3

A new DC fighting game is officially in the works, featuring a roster of characters from the comics universe. It's not Injustice 3, not a direct sequel to the NetherRealm license: DC is taking a different direction. That's both good news and bad news. Good, because the franchise has been dormant since Injustice 2 in 2017. Bad, because the absence of Mortal Kombat creators in the loop drastically changes expectations around production quality.
