GTA VI: Rockstar Confirms the Date — Fall 2026, and Here's Why This One Will Be Different
After years of waiting, Rockstar Games has officially set GTA VI for October 17, 2026. Here's what the third trailer tells us about the game.
It's official. Grand Theft Auto VI launches October 17, 2026 on PS5 and Xbox Series X. Rockstar Games ended the speculation with a third trailer that says a lot about the game's ambition.
Vice City, 2026
The city is unrecognizable — in the best way. Denser, more vertical, more alive. Neighborhoods are distinguished by their sonic identity as much as their visual one. NPCs follow complex routines that shift based on the time of day and the weather.
Lucia and Jason: One Duo, Two Campaigns?
The trailer suggests the two protagonists have separate narrative arcs that gradually converge. According to reliable insiders, the opening hours are played exclusively as Lucia, before shifting to Jason and then letting the player switch freely.
A Overhauled In-Game Economy
A neighborhood-based reputation system, financial markets that react to the player's actions, and a fully rebuilt online mode available at launch. Rockstar wants to put the post-GTA V criticism to rest once and for all.
The PC version, as usual, has no announced date. Bets are open for 2027.
